Supercharging the efforts of a local non-profit food distributor
Community Servings is a non-profit organization that makes and home-delivers almost one million meals annually to thousands of families impacted by a critical or chronic illness throughout the state of Massachusetts. To support the increasing demand for their services, Community Servings needed to expand their cold storage capabilities.
In 2022, RSNE, working through Harbor Food Service Equipment, fabricated and installed a custom, irregularly shaped 670 sqft. walk-in freezer at their location in Jamaica Plain, MA. The freezer was built with custom fabricated heavy-duty insulated floors to support racking, pallets, and forklift operations.
As their growth continued, Community Servings acquired a new location in Mansfield, MA in 2023. Here, RSNE again contracted with Harbor Food Service Equipment to fabricate and install a new 3,000 sqft. combination cooler & freezer, with RSNE cooler and freezer doors.
RSNE has worked with many non-profit food distributors and food pantries across New England. As the demand for these services continues to outpace cold storage infrastructure, RSNE is committed to helping these local community heroes rise to the challenge.
